It's absolutely *pissing* down here. Thunder and lighening, tho not
very frightening. Temperature hasn't dropped much, mind.

I want to walk into town, but I can't find my umbrella. Bugger.

Same here, sky went very dark, then all hell let loose, felt like a
hurricane.

Bloody humid mind

I was relieved to see that it was overcast this morning and I actually
thought it was nice and refreshing that, at 10am, it was so cool.

Then I checked the temperature. 36 in the shade..... Which *is* 8.5
degrees cooler than yesterday and Thursday, but I can't accurately recall
the last time I though 36 was "cool".... If I'm acclimatising that well,
I'm not looking forward to November - I'll be putting the heating on if it
drops below 20 at this rate!

The heavy duty stuff has just hit Bedford. Pissing down plus thunder
but no lightning.

>I want to walk into town, but I can't find my umbrella. Bugger.

I had plans (orders) to adjust the head bearings and remove the rear
wheel from the 9R and to fit a new speedo to the Bandit. I'm glad my
10R doesn't need anything doing to it.

It was fun watching some of the more precious riders whipping out bike
covers at the Calne motorcycle meet.

Your previous comments about bikes attracting munters were reinforced.
But it might just have been a Calne thing.

Yup. That is *so* Calne. 10' wide arses, black leggings, large hoop

I don't think I've ever seen rain like that in this country. I couldn't
see the end of the road dead good, it was.

And my fence blew down, so I'm waiting for it to brighten up a bit
before looking at repairs/purchase of a new panel.

Its just passed over here - our drive was flooded in minutes -
normally only foods when the soak-away is inundated after prolonged
rain.

http://www.nowcast.co.uk/lightning/#

gives an idea of the intensity of the storm - the thunder was just a
continuous rumble for about 20 minutes.

It rained suddenly and very heavily on Friday evening as I was passing
Attleborough in Norfolk. It was one of the worst rainstorms I have ever
ridden through, I could hardly see the car in front. I was stuck in a
single file 40 limit with nowhere to stop and my one-piece w/proof suit
and w/proof gloves in my tailpack. The rain abated and there was blazing
sunshine again when I reached Norwich, but I was till soaked through by
the time I got to just outside Cromer, 40 miles after the downpour.

I went to help at a model plane airshow this weekend. It pissed down,
and we[1] had to hang on for dear life to the tent. Wind speeds were 55+
kt and the temperature dropped by 10 Deg C. This mostly happened for two
hours. Yes, I did get soaked and cold.
