This is hardly worthy of a darwin award. What the bitch did was just
slightly stupid and illegal.

Didn't you argue that people don't drive in the bike lane? Could swear
that you did when I said the painted line offers no protection and
motorists will use it as an additional lane whenever they want to.

I doubt that any 48-year-old women would be eligible for a Darwin Award.
Her biological clock has probably ticked too many ticks by that age.

When we want your opinion, we'll beat it out of you. As for your
comment, why don't you read up on what a Darwin Award is before you
shoot off your mouth and then go out there and win one for the

No shit, Sherlock. A sidewalk is about the worst surface possible to
run on.
Back when I actually exercised on a regular basis (wow, that sounds
kind of bad doesn't it?) I at least lived in an area with dirt/cinder
shoulders so most of the time I could run on that which was far more
forgiving than concrete. I don't know about you guys but more than a
couple miles on concrete and my legs are on fire. (of course, more
than a couple miles on anything *today* and my *lungs* would probably
be on fire...)

And your local MFFY don't use it any time they feel like? I doubt it. In
chicago the MFFY will use any paved or unpaved surface to get by. One day
on a two lane road I was in queue of vehicles stacked up behind a left
turner.... with two wheels on the gravel shoulder and two on the slant of
the drainage ditch from behind comes this pick up truck passing everyone
in the queue.

Or was just mid block and some MFFY driver on his morning commute wanted to
get around some sloth and gunned through the bike lane without looking.

True, but given the choice between running on concrete and not running
at all, most serious runners would give serious consideration to the
"turning into a fat sack of shit" option. It's that bad. Try it
sometime, if you don't believe me.

I doubt that traffic was too heavy at that time. Maybe he is an animal
lover and swerved over into the bike lane to avoid running over a squirrel.
I seen drivers do crazy stuff to avoid running over an animal.

Frankly, running (or jogging) is not a good way to exercise. Unless one
runs (or jogs) on an ideal surface, the pounding that ones feet and legs
take while running (especially for older adults) is really bad for the
joints and tendons. A brisk walk or bicycling is a lot better way to
get a workout and burn off some calories.

Swimming is even better, actually, but some people take to running. My
dad still runs every day (i guess he's got some natural aptitude for it,
he was a track and cross-country coach until he retired. These days, he
could probably beat me either running or cycling; I might take him
swimming on technique alone.)

Because you assholes own the road. She happened to be doing what
thousands of people get up and do every day and was unfortunate enough
to be in the wrong spot in the road when someone happened to ILLEGALLY
fall asleep in his car instead of at home. Heartless bastard.
