Given my choice of injuries due to being hit with sticks, bean bags,
etc. causing a visit to the emergency room or taking a shot or two off
a taser that leaves no residual...I'll take the taser. Of course I
can see no way that I would ever subject myself to either.
Fortunately I retired as a Corrections Officer before it was mandatory
to be tased as part of training.

That depends. The tazers can leave lasting injury and can kill. It just
depends on who's using the taser and who is getting tased and where the
probes land. It's really not all that unlike the other options which also
depend on the operator.
