Completely wrong. All that "updating" CAFE will do is cause people to
become more creative in getting around the standards and/or keeping
older vehicles on the road longer as new vehicles are either
insufficient for the needs of average people, too expensive for average
people, or both. This is exactly what happened after the original CAFE
killed off the traditional full sized car - people bought trucks instead.
Of course, I wouldn't expect you to understand as you've repeatedly
demonstrated a complete lack of ability to comprehend little pictures,
let alone big ones.

Yup, just like speed limits cause people to speed and laws prohibiting
murder cause people to become more inventive in their killings.
Best to legalize murder and get rid of those pesky speed limits.
