Picked up a Pan European last Sunday: retirement present to myself. A
little bit more powerful than the Yamaha Zest I have now. Tomorrow I go
out with an instructor for the day - thought it wise!

They will teach you the best way to pick it up.
Everyone I know who has a Pan Euro drops theirs regularly at about
0mph when they've got their panniers full up.
Tip: Learn how to rebuild the mirrors as you'll save a hell of a lot
of money when it lands on one of them.

My panniers were quite empty when I dropped mine at about 0MPH.

In my defence I did originally just finish at "0mph" but then thought
about people who couldn't cope with the shame of it and gave them an
excuse to use about panniers.
