Interesting week for me:
Monday:
Jacked my job in.
Took Zephyr for 1st "new" MOT. It passed with one advisory (rear wheel
bearing very slightly worn).
Got punted up the arse on the bike on way back from MOT. Luckily no damage
at all, to me, bike or car.
Friday:
Packed up bike with all necessary gear for Zephyr meet at Aldermaston.
Arrived to find it's next week, D'oh. Bike had a very disconcerting wobble /
weave develop at eek mph coming back, hopefully it was just the weight /
wind resistance of the gear on the back. I'll have to investigate further
today.

Indeed, I did feel like a complete twat, but heh, nothing new there.

Dunno abaout that. I did ask my spannerer how the slightly worn bearing
would manifest itself, and he said it probably wouldn't as it's so slight.
Reckon I'll get it done at the end of the summer, unless today's speed
trials reveal it still to be there.
Unfortunately, due to the age of the bike, I fear other issues may be
contributing, i.e worn suspension, crap rider etc.

Perhaps the punt up the arse was more serious than you thought? Could it
have further damaged the bearing?

I very much doubt it, as the impact was very slight.
Mind you, had I been quicker thinkung I'd have got her details and tried the
old "you've fucked my bearing" ploy.
Or maybe not.

LOL ! Nice to have a meme for something.
I'll never forget Platy's face when I turned up on the doorstep.
I thought, 'Hell, not many people have turned up on bikes'
I couldn't decipher Platy's puzzlement, but It became clear when as I
crossed the threshold that Him, Sarah and Laura were just sitting down
to dinner.
So we had an impromptu meal, and a few wines/Whisky's and all was well
with the world.
<fx: Packs a Red + very decent White for tonight>
Cheers
Paul.
