Just got back after a couple of days in Bremen.
A few observations.
It was hotter than the UK.
The air-con rooms in the Hilton rock.
The 'Schlachte'(ISTR) is an excellent place for authentic German food
and beer.
It's also a great place to sit out watching some of the awesomely
attractive Kraut women wearing skimpy clothes.
Other stuff.
OLT are a bloody good airline for a small regional company.
London City airport is a sod to get to, has a crap departure lounge and
charges £stupid for parking.
Bremen airport is easy to get to, but also has a shite departure lounge.
I think I'll probably try and find the time to go back for pleasure,
rather than business one day.

heh.
I'm reminded of the words of that fabulous female comic who died
recently, whose name always escapes me:
"Bromley: it's not twinned with anywhere, but it does have a suicide
pact with Bremen".

Heh.
That's being very unfair to Bremen, to be honest.
It certainly wouldn't have been my first choice as a 'city break', but
now I've been there, I'd definitely go back - if only for the
'biergarten' along the river.

Interesting; she obviously updated it for the more cosmopolitan crowds
of Bromley :)
