Mickey Spillane, the macho mystery writer from NY and NJ, who wowed
millions of readers with the shoot-'em-up sex and violence of gumshoe
Mike Hammer, died Monday. He was great, but died at the age of 88.

I guess that ends my asking the clerks at the book store to check for
