The tire modelling feels entirely new. Low speed grip is as one would
suppose race slicks to respond, in contrast to GTR1 which was akin to
ice-skating. In my humble opinion there is nothing to touch it.
It looks substantially better yet suffers no FPS issues on my system.
The rain and reflections are striking in particular.
The AI is excellent.
It's stable.

GTR used the newest available Gmotor physics engine from ISI, but the
graphics and netcode were
pre rFactor so they didn't have top shelf performance in those areas.
GTR2 uses the latest Graphcis and hopefully the fixes to the net code
ISI derived for rF.
Think of the old USA advertising slogan...
New and Improved.

With luck, this one will work. With more luck, it might actually work
out of the box rather than when version 1.128564 of the patch is released.
Don't go near any "German only" release!
