niknaim  
I find my gsx600f just too uncomfortable for long trips. I need to have my
feet a bit further forward or lower. Tried a certain in-line 650cc v twin.
Lovely comfort, not too fast either! but mind numbing vibrations. Any
helpful suggestions would be welcome.

Read the thread up there somewhere about the Transalp. It has some foibles
but is very comfortable.

If you want a touring bike, maybe you need to look at touring bikes
instead?
