Just backed my new bike out of the garage, down the drive, out to the
kerb, let it lean too far to the right and stylishly dropped it in
gut-renching slow motion into the road.
Luckily i had hold of the left grip all the way down and slowed it
enough so it's *only* scratched:
- the fairing paint
- the fairing stickers
- the indicator
- the fancy micron can
- the mirror
B*ll*cks! It was right in front of a gorgeous young lady who was
passing by at the time n' all. So very debonair.
Guess everyone has to do this sometime though. I suppose it's a rite of
passage. I'd get ChipsAway to fix up the paint but I'll probly just
drop it again next week.
C'est la vie....

No not a right of passage at all but a perfectly normal occurrence.
Worth noting that the Bindit now owned by one spik of this parish is the
*only*[1] bike I have never laid down in such a stupid fashion.
[1] and my VT750 but that doesn't really count as all I have done with
it is ride it home after I bought it.

Do you know, I forgot to ask her in the heat of the moment. She didn't
look very impressed so I'm guessing not - for me, anyway.
