The front tyre on the Guzzi has worn in an odd way. It has a sawtooth
pattern on the tread pattern after 5500 miles (with about 1.5mm left)
Quite pronounced to the touch but not as obvious as I'd hoped in this
picture:
http://www.sweller.dynalias.org/images/tyre.jpg
It's done this since I fitted the more modern air assisted forks with not
so saggy springs. They're still very primitive in the amounts of
adjustment available but what's the sawtooth wear pattern a symptom of?

That looks very nice. Consistent and to the edge.
Signs of good (proper) use.

The BT45 tread pattern does seem to show it up rather well. You may be
braking later and harder than before due to the better front end. Just a
thought.

It's a symptom of the suspension allowing you to brake into corners
with more confidence. All properly ridden sports bikes wear their
front tyres like that, ime.

It's not just sports bikes. Even Gertrude's front wears like that,
particularly the Dunlop fitments. Eventually it causes vibration on
corners, which I don't like. The Bridgestone fitment is much less
susceptible to it so I tend to use them.

I was going to say that he's obviously been riding like a cunt, but you put
it in a more diplomatic way. I don't think it's a genuine question,
anyway - I reckon he's just showing off.

Well, obviously that's not the sort of behaviour that I can condone.

You're not implying that I might have a reputation for diplomacy, surely?

The Bridgestone on the front of the Wing looks much the same.

Doh! Why didn't I think of that? It's so obvious, now you mention it.

If that's an acronym it must be Welsh. I can't pronounce it even with a

btw).
