| OT: HELP ... last episode of 24. [message #779099] |
Wed, 12 July 2006 18:21 |
|
It's like this, see ...
My sister and bruv-in-law have been following this series, diligently
recording it every week to watch in their rare moments of free-time.
However, it all went horribly wrong this week.
They set the DVD recorder up as usual and went about their business,
not realising that the powers that be had decided to run the last two
episodes back to back. Only when they settled down to watch it did
they realise their (perhaps foolish) error.
Anyway, the upshot of this is that it's my bruv-in-law's birthday this
weekend and when I asked my sister what he would like, she said
"you're good at pulling rabbits out of hats, how about the last
episode of 24."
So there it is, do any of you lovely, lovely people have access to the
final episode and, if so, would you be willing to pop it on a disk and
send it to me please? You'll have my undying gratitude and I'll earn
major Brownie points with Big Sis (1).
(1) and retain my almost legendary status amongst my family for being
able to source strange and unusual things from usenet.
Thanks

Would love to help, but I have to delete to save the kids from
watching in at 6am the following mornings. Sorry.

you/they can download the from http://www.tvtorrents.com/ using a bitorrent
client.
I have the file here: its 380Mb. Not sure what format it is in but Windows
Media Player opens it. I could stick it on a CD and mail it if you don't
have the bandwidth.

bad form etc: according to the site the file is 24.524.hdtv-lol.avi
someone will be along in a while to decode the bit after the 24.524 which
is just the episode no.

Seems to me they have classified it as Hi-def comedy, which is bollox
because I thought the whole prog was utter fucking shite and needn't
have been made, let alone actually transmitted. Not that it made any
real difference to me whether they did or didn't because after the first
5 minutes of the one I did watch I never watched it again.

Fair point, although I'd run it through the S-video/fibre optic sound
link into the living room and watch it on the TV for preference - but
this is for Elly's sister and her lot. And they have the Mac disease.
Best make it play on a DVD player, I think.
