....seems to have suddenly gone AWOL for me. Agent is timing out, and
pinging gives:
Pinging news.individual.net [130.133.1.4] with 32 bytes of data:
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Request timed out.
Ping statistics for 130.133.1.4:
Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 0, Lost = 4 (100% loss),
Which makes me think the problem isn't at my end (cos I can get the
name resolved to an IP address).
Anyone else care to confirm or disprove?

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember "Champ" <nchamp [at] gmail.com> saying
something like:

It does seem to get rebooted occasionally without notice. It's a reliable
UNIX machine run by people who know what they're doing so I doubt it's
crashing, but it's a very high profile Internet connected machine so I
expect they take security updates very seriously and apply them as soon as
they are announced. Given the extremely modest cost of the service I don't
think we can really expect to be notified every time. Losing usenet for
half an hour isn't the end of the world.
