Not sure it'll affect me, I don't buy from 'em anyway.

Well, good riddens CITGO. We should have never gotten dependant
on on outside oil, OPEC and the rest. Had we built more refineries
in the 70's and stayed completely domestic with our consumption
of oil, we would be 25 years ahead of new energy sources and
technology.
Thank you to the Legislation in the 70's for being so blind, ie; in New
Mexico
the Democrat legislators made law that any oil and gas produced in New
Mexico had to be processed by CALGAS and bought back for consumption
at a premium.

Motorcyclist injured after slipping on gasoline - Posted July 11, 2006
http://www.sheboygan-press.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20 060711/SHE0101/60711024/1973
A 58-year-old Howards Grove man was injured in a motorcycle crash
Monday afternoon after he drove through a puddle of diesel gasoline in
a Town of Sheboygan gas station parking lot, Capt. David Adams of the
Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department said this morning.
Thomas C. Benning was riding his motorcycle between the gas pumps at
R.J. Citgo Oasis, 4912 Vanguard Drive, at around 4:30 p.m. when he
went through a puddle of gasoline he told investigators he thought was
a puddle of water.
“He went to make a turn and it was like ice,” Adams said.
Orange Cross Ambulance took Benning to St. Nicholas Hospital in
Sheboygan for treatment of a broken collarbone, Adams said.
No citations were issued in connection with the crash, Adams said.

I figure the press release posted on the CITGO home page is a good
indicator that this is not a rumor ....
(CITGO Newsroom, located under News & Views at www.citgo.com)
HOUSTON --- CITGO Petroleum Corporation today announced the decision
of its board of directors to realign the company’s national retail
gasoline network footprint. This action will result in a stronger
company presence in the East and Gulf Coast regions, and a
transitioning from parts of the Midwest, Kentucky, Oklahoma and
northern Texas by the end of March 2007.
“We are taking this action to best position the company for a strong
future.” said Félix Rodríguez, CITGO president and CEO. “CITGO’s
current branded sales exceed our in-house production capabilities,
straining our resources and potentially compromising our ability to
provide optimum service to our customers. We will be focusing on
strengthening our presence in marketing areas in the Northeast, South,
mid-Atlantic and portions of the Midwest that are served by our
refineries in Lake Charles, La., Corpus Christi, Texas, and Lemont,
Ill., while reducing the current number of branded locations in
markets in which we are less efficient.”
In order to offset the roughly 130,000 barrel-per-day shortfall
required to meet customer obligations, CITGO purchases gasoline from
other refining companies on the open market, a move that places the
company at a competitive disadvantage.
At the end of this realignment, the number of CITGO branded locations
will be reduced by approximately 14 percent with little impact on the
more than 10 million customers who visit our locations each day.
CITGO markets gasoline via agreements with independent marketers and
does not own or operate any of its locations, including those in the
affected areas. CITGO will work with each marketer to ensure the
transition is as smooth as possible for their operations and
customers.
“Our commitment to the markets where we are staying is as strong as
ever. This strategy allows CITGO to better serve its customer base by
focusing on reliable supply, competitive pricing and exceptional
customer service,” Rodríguez noted.
For additional information on this initiative, visit the Media Kits
section of the CITGO Newsroom, located under News & Views at
www.citgo.com, and click on the Marketing

There are plenty of places around Tulsa where I'll buy gas. At least a
dozen within 5 miles of the zip code I live in, probably 50 or more
within 20 miles. They're all Quiktrip stores...
