I have done the engine upgrade (95" and S&S gear cams) and am now awaiting
painted parts.
Rebuilt the front forks with new Chrome sliders, Gold Seal emulators, and
upgrade to new '06 front HD brake system.
The rear end will sport a new 06 swing arm, 06 brake system and rear wheel.
At this time I plan on ordering the http://www.true-track.com/1_2006_006.htm
as soon as I get the OK from a certain spy.

Tell me more about these gold seal emulators. Is the front end still
air ride or did ya seal it up like the 02's? Enquiring minds want to
know.

Ok cool so what did you do to the top caps? Plug them? How about the
swing arm change out? Rear wheel had to be changed too right? All the
mods you have made I am thinking about for my high mileage 01. Of
course next step would be S&S injection to get rid of the stock
injection

I would also love to hear your take on the gear drive once you are
riding it down the road.

The pivot bolt is 5/8" on a 99. 3/4" on (what?) 01 and newer ?
The guy at true track is making a jig to drill the tranny out without
removing it from the bike.
I got an 06 swing arm, brake, brake line , master cyl, brake pedal & Rear
wheel, alxe, spacers, adjusters.
Ill get a narrow pulley and belt later, Ill run the 99 one for now and stay
with the 99 size tire to be safe.
I need to hit the swap meets soon for the pulley.

I really Jonse'n for a 6 speed soon
