HI, as they say, cash is King , so heres a grant for the first round...
My name is Hans and have recently transplated myself from Texas to
Norway. I ran a hotrod and bike shop in Houston for the last 10 years
or so doing everything from chassis to custom paint, everything but
upholstry. I went form building hotrods to building oil platforms. Am a
bike nut from HDs to British to Japs. Hobbies include beer , my wife,
and Bonneville salt flat racing...not necesarily in that order, but
won't say what the order is.
I'm a little out of my normal element over here with no shop to work in
or tools on hand , teh bike is 9 hours from my house at a buds place
where it was shipped. The group here is much appreciated and will
return the flavor!
Here's a tip for the Bar.....

Thanks, yeah, we jsut past the longest day a few back, you can still
read a book outside at midnight though! Pretty dissapointed i was to
drive 9 hours to my buds place, after fixing little stuff like leaking
fuel line and fuel fouled plugs from 2 month old gas from sitting in a
container for 2 months...and then having to leave her there and drive
back home....never had a clutch issue before, most reliable bike i ever
had.

Welcome! How'd you end up in Norway? I mean, it's not like you'd say one
day while sitting at breakfast, "gee, let's move to Norway next weekend!"
Oh, and be sure to post your replies below the quoted text or
interspersed, as above. It'll make things go much easier. <g>

To make a long story long, I grew up in Texas, but my dad was
Norwegian. By chance I meet a Norwegian girl while at A&M(no jokes
needed) married her, lived in houston for bit, then moved here for her
family , to start a family and maybe a little more relaxed work
ethic...

Kewl! My family from 3 generations back is from Norway. I can't remember
offhand exactly where and I even just called my sister. She can't
remember offhand, either. I guess we both have bad memory today. 8-)

Ohmygawd! That is my father to a "T"! I always had to rely on my aunt
(his sister) to tell me the good things he said about me since he never
said them to my face.

Hello Hans. Weather's not as hot as Texas, but you'll likely enjoy the
Scandinavian biker scene. We have a few European r.m.h'ers, where in

I am in Bergen. A bit rainy at times, but the scenery is unbelieveable,
not quite like the Texas roads I'm used to.Yes, now when the weather is
good and all the europeans are on vacation there are about as many
bikes on the road as cars! PS, got the bike home yesterday, will start
investigating tonight.
