Jim...Was this story written for you?

Seeing as how you want make us wait till SpodeFest to hear
about your latest adventure.
I figure a little story from Rick Sieman of off-road.com could
fill in the gaps.
How many of us RMD'ers can relate to Hunky's experiences
with the lowly "Loading Ramp"?

I remember one of mine.
After driving for 3+ hours to arrive at our camp spot around 9:00PM
in the (dark)*. We are in a hurry to unload the bikes and crack open
some cold ones. Still wearing shorts and flip flop shoes. I set up
the ramp on the tailgate, climb in the truck bed and remove the
bikes. Parking them around the side of the truck....the side
opposite the cooler. In my haste to quench my mighty thirst.
I proceeded at warp speed back around the rear of the truck towards
the cooler. Only to find, with my shins about 6" above my ankle, that
the ramp was still set up on the tailgate. I was promptly face planted
across the loading ramp and was rewarded with a bloody gnash across
my left shin that could have used 5 or 6 stitches. Damn, not 5 minutes
in camp and I'm bleeding like a pig and thirsty as a cow after a salt
lick.
The first beer was used to wash the blood off my leg. Then wrap it
with a paper towel and some electrical tape and call it good for the
night.
If I remember, the remaining beers did not survive the night to see
the dawn.
Cheers, SloCalSpode

Well right there's the problem... you should drink a beer or two before
you unload to steady your nerves... then bad things like that don't
happen to ya... :)

Of course he also broke a golden rule... never do right now... what you
can put off until the morning... :)
