If you clean the spunk stains off it from your sofa activities I believe it
may work properly

Don't waste your money on that shite and get a proper ergonomic

I use a Logitech Wireless - came bundled with an MX700 mouse - seems to work
well, good range, batteries have lasted about 9 months so far and show no
signs of giving up - all in all, a thumbs up.

The Logitech wireless mouse & keyboard that came with this Mesh bundle was
rubbish. Constant loss of comms.

I've gone back to a lovely PS2 keyboard that came with a Fujitsu PC years
ago. Still has a nice action to the keys. It's gone a funny colour where
the one corner catches the late afternoon sun. Tecstorm mouse is nice too.

<soapbox alert>

Well, thanks to that nerve injury I've had the (mis-)fortune of trying
the M$ keyboard and a few of the 'real' ergonomic keyboards.

The main advantage of the M$ keyboard is that the layout doesn't force
your hands into the same 'unnatural' position a normal keyboard does,
but for proper ergonomic use the key action is too heavy. They're
better than most of the standard rubbish you get these days but they're
still rubbish.

The real ergonomic stuff is rather expensive compared to the M$
keyboard but the difference is astounding. I hadn't been able to work
for more than 1/2 hour on a normal keyboard before I had to call it a
day, but ever since I got myself a Kinesis Ergo Elan
(http://www.kinesis-ergo.com/, top lefthand one on the picture of
weirdo keyboards) I can work properly again. The difference this makes
is unbelieveable...

And yes, they're expensive (but still considerably cheaper than a
Maltron, which is the other choice)[1] but they're worth every penny to
me. And yes, I paid for two of the ones I use myself, the rest have
been paid for by various employers over the years.

It also has the added advantage that it stops other people from fucking
about with your work machine...

I must confess that I'm a convert. I can see your point about the
action being heavy

Oh yes. That looks *very* cool

Yers. That is a tad pricey. Like 5 times what I'd like to pay. I
shall have to start saving

MS ones do that too. A pleasant side effect. :)

Cheers

Tell me about it. I'd rather they were cheaper, too, especially if I
have to convince an employer to cough up for one...

Yes. Maybe I should make an appointment with myself to discuss it ;)

A healthy work environment is a legal requirement. Not only have my
employer provided things like monitor stands and keyboards but
yesterday they fitted a raised 'ski' desk and a new chair is on its
way too. This is at mucho expense to them, but they'd rather spend a
bit of money now and get a more productive Me out of it than injure
me. Well, be sued for injuring me.

That's it mate.
You /ARE/ going to be replaced by a computer in Mogadishu[1].
As soon as the company starts investing in new equipment the writing is
most definitely on the wall...
