I paid £600 for four days bike hire including the test and infinate
free retests, bike hire and training up until I passed.

It costs you about £40 for your test. I would suggest giving your
existing riding school another go, but they do seem to be charging
over the odds.

While it would be illegal, if you don't have an ADI with you in
constant radio contact as long as you don't fuck it up you should get
away with it.

You will need a couple of rigid L-Plates on the bike and a high-viz
jacket. IIRC you must wear a high-viz jacket on the test.

INT. DSA TEST CENTRE WAITING ROOM, DAY. RANDOM SPOTTY TEENAGERS ARE
SCATTERED AROUND THE ROOM.

DSA: My word, why is a handsome young man such as yourself
standing in front of me dressed in leather?
You: Good morning, good Sir, I'm here for my riding test. <hands over
documents>
DSA: <walking outside with you> Where's your bike?
You: <points> Over there.
DSA: How did you get it here?
You: <points at 'biker mate' who is standing outside the test centre
holding helmet> My mate was in the drivers seat and I rode Bitch
Biker Mate: <waves> Hello!
DSA: <Test starts, the end>

DSA process isn't to unduly pry into matters such as insurance, but it
may be useful if you have your documents on you should they be
questioned. Don't ask, don't tell. If you say OOOH, I'VE GOT A SUPER
MOODY RACE CAN ON THERE!!! then your test ends swiftly, whereas if you
don't speak of Super Moody Race Can 48 they're not supposed to ask.

That's good. While you could just find a Biker Mate who is willing to
help you with your test a Fail has already indicated that you did not
meet the required test standard which would suggest re-training.

Actually, it was more like £400 or £450 with infinate training, hire
and retests (test fee included in price)
