Have any of you western US folks heard about this series of racing? I
just bought a dirt bike magazine and read that is kind of a preparation
for the AMA main series.
Jorge Antonio Balbi was fourth... :-)

It is a totally redundant series now, seeings as how each and every
rider in the Outdoor Nationals is on a 4-stroke now.
It used to be unique.

I wonder how it was before the 1998 YZF426 (or was it YZF400, the first
trully 4T motocrosser bike). Need strong arms to hold a XR400 or a
DR400 on a MX track.

I agree. Maybe now, as I'm a new 2T rider, they'll have a special
"2-Stroke
National" series. Wouldn't that be, umm, ironic ? You could even
incorporate
the word "Vintage" in the title as well, since we all know 2-bangers
are dead.
