I was expressing an opinion, not trying to write an English essay.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

Ah, the famous "only joking" response.

Wasn't a very funny joke, was it.

What's your problem - there's a difference in case and puntuation, at
least.

Never mind that: how are the 207RRs holding up?

It's like waiting for Apollo 13 to come out of the moon's shadow, back
here.

I guess if you want to adopt the same stylish minimal approach to
..sigs as me, it's OK really.

That was just my google groups persona, where I end up typing the sig
manually.

Back to normal now.

I don't think he's crashed yet. But then, he has spent most of the
time in the pub, as far as I can tell.

I had a go on the bike in question, and I gave it a proper hoon,
including trying to deliberately provoke the rear tyre coming out of
corners. They were fine.

Of course, the "feel" you get from a set of tyres is massively
important to how the bike feels and one's entire level of confidence.
This is also a very personal matter, and if Bear doesn't like those
tyres, then he doesn't like them. But he should just say that, rather
than "they're rubbish".

heh. Unfortunately, some of us who've blown all their holiday time
have had to come back to work.

Oh, I agree. I hated the AV50 on the back of the Blackbird - but now
it's a bit squared off, it's fine.

The Avons on the Wing's spare wheels are definitely "emergency use
only" though.

Too many Chelsea tractors about this year...
<thinks> Do the Manx drive at 2 mph below the speed limit all year -
or just on TT fortnight?

Mostly just on TT fortnight because they *know* that the level of
speed enforcement in the 30 and 40 limits is about 100 times higher
than the rest of the year. And if a local is caught he really will get
done.
