-WHY CAN"T THE DUMB POLITICIANS COME UP WITH SOLUTIONS LIKE THIS?
A win-win-win situation. Dig a moat the length of the Mexican border, use
the dirt to raise the levies in New Orleans and put the Florida alligators
into the moat. Any other problems you would like me to solve?

Mexico has some great riding. I'd hate to waste the sights and the
roads on bums. Put them somewhere cold, perhaps?

Do they still have potholes on that thing that are deep enough that you
can see the deck below you? ;)

Just line a a few 'dozers in San Diego and push a 1/2 mile strip of border land into the gulf of
Mexico. It will stop the immigration problem, provide a US-controlled inter-ocean waterway, and
provide an island penal colony suitable for growing spaghetti.

Jesus! That is a big pothole! Did you crash or what?
There was an Australian guy on one of the BMW GS lists that claimed
that he hit a pothole big enough that it didn't make him fall, but the
bike wouldn't track correctly. So he took his almost brand new R1200GS
to the dealer, and there was so much damage to the suspension and
engine mounts that the insurance company totally it out.
I've never done the GW Bridge on a bike but back when we owned several
cabinover Kenworths crossing that sucker and the Cross Bronx was always
an experience. Kenworth dashboards used to be (still are?) aluminum
plates that are hinged on one side and bolted on the other, and when
you hit a pot hole every loose panel sounded like the entire interior
was getting ready to collapse around you at any time.

A-men!
Glad that you are OK. That's some pretty impressive damage I'm afraid.
