I'm trying to get my sag dialled in on my 01 XR400 and I cant get the top
lock collar unscrewed on the shock. I have tried a punch and a flat head
screwdriver. Any other idea?

Get a bigger hammer and make sure you're turning it the right way.

Motion Pro makes a wrench, but a punch and a hammer should
do the trick. Spray the area with a penetrating oil or
WD-40, let it sit for a few minutes and bang away. Make sure
you are trying to turn it the correct way to loosen it, you
might try wacking it each way a bit to get it loose. Also
try wacking the adjustment collar a bit too, it may help as
well.

I'm guessing these arent reverse threads thus "lefty Lucy" should be doing
it. I sprayed some penetrating oil on it and hopefully that will do it.
