FLHRCI replace saddlebags [message #488053] Wed, 19 October 2005 16:54
tobybrez
My stock saddlebags on my 2001 FLHRCI have been ruined. Long story, my
fault.

Are there any aftermarket alternatives or do I have to order a new set
of stock bags from Harley?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Toby

One of the nice things about owning a Harley is the vast aftermarket.
I'd start with EBAY....

Thanks to all for all the great tips!

Hey Snarl... any advice for a query on ebay? Not sure if "cop bags"
will yield the right result.

Thanks,
Toby

Factory options would be:

Road King Classic bags
Road King Custom bags
Road King Harness Leather bags
FLT plastic/fiberglass bags
FLT police bags

List for the first 3 run about $800/set.
A friend looked into ordering black EG bags for his FLHRCi and came up with a price of $1600 by the
time all of the necessary hardware was included.

Check EBay or your local dealers for take-offs for better pricing.

Well, Harley police saddle bags, or 2001 FLHTP saddle bags, or maybe
even cop bags will work <g>.

Snarl... the "go try some combinations thereof" Asshole(tm)
