New Seat [message #444314] Wed, 21 September 2005 03:06

I have read many a post about what was the best replacement seat.
I recently bought a 2003 Harley Night Train. The stock Badlander seat
looks awesome, but the padding is thin and felt hard. the longest ride
to date had been about an hour.. and my backside was sore.
I previously had lower back surgery so my back was hurting
too because of no support.

I decided on the Saddlemen King Seat with SaddleGel which
has a 9" lumbar support area (didn't get the extra backrest).
I took a 5 hour ride last week
and when I got off the bike at the end my legs were tired,
but my Butt and back felt no worse than when I started.
I was absolutely astonished. That's not to say it will always
be that way, and I haven't tried the other aftermarket
seats. But I'm convinced that if I buy another bike I will
either take this seat with me or buy another Saddlemen.

Just my 2 cents worth... but my Butt says it's worth the cost.
