I got to pet Dana's Big Woody and it was very very pleasing--uhh,
pleasant! ;-)
It was quite the vacation. I was surprised that we weren't asked by the

Again with the AC/Delco. I had to drive the cage in today, as I'm
getting the new paint job color sanded, so I can't check the number on
the plug, but they work great in my bike (93 Evo).
The reason I use this AC/Delco crap stems from the fact that I work
for a Car Group, as a network dude. My office is right outside the
Chevrolet parts counter. When I need a tune, I just have the guys set
me up with four quarts of Royal Purple 15W50 (not that voodoo
motorcycle crap, but the car stuff), a PF53 filter and a set of plugs.
I dig an O ring out of the little drawer and I'm all set to go... at
10% over cost.
But I did find that the plugs were the cat's meow. Quite by accident,
but I could physically tell that the bike ran better than it did with
HD or the Splitfires, or anything else that I used to use. I suspect
that the Delco application just defaults to a spec that I could get
with any other plug, if I knew what I was looking for.

Well, its $28 bucks for the express car place to full my truck with more
oil than my bike will hold oil, and a new filter. Why so much for a
bike. Hell the jiffy lube even once overs the truck (tires lights, even
the horn). They usually try to sucker me into a new air filter.
I don't think that the master mechanic is looking over shit on an oil
change at H-D. The guy doing oil changes is probably 6 months away from
going to the harley school for certification whatever the frick that is
called in daytona?)
Lets see my last oil change bill...
K&N filter $13
4 quarts 20-50 $12
Little rubber plug ring: local shop gives free
okay, thats 25 bucks
It'll cost more next time when I change the tranny and primary.
HTH ;)

Already priced the parts out for ya......
The Jiffy Lube is using bulk oil out of a tank.....what
brand?? and certainly NOT synthetic........
What kinda filter??? Oh, it's a no name brand filter worth
about a buck.
And they pay their people minimum wage (or damn near), what
kinda quality do ya think yer getting there????
Ya got a great job done there buddy......

No labor??? You give the guy a blowjob so he wouldn't charge

What's the difference in overhead between the little local

I'll have to check the plugs.....didn't see an AC/Delco
listed for the twinkie engines, though I did see Champion,
NGK, and Autolite......
Gotta run over to pickup the timing belt tensioner I ordered
for my wife's truck....will snag a pair of plugs while I'm
at it.

Wait till he gets kicked off "the site" for failing to conform to the
minimum sig size of 1.2 GB (which must include enough flickering and/or
flashing to trigger an epileptic seizure in those so inclined).

They don't list them for the EVO anymore either. That's why I have to
have the number off the ones that are in the bike. I suspect that the
plug is the same for both engines, but I could be wrong. You could
check by seeing if the other plugs (NKG et al) show the same plug for
both.
OTOH, you could just ignore my Delco jive.

Gave yourself a blowjob????? Damn........kinda like the two
guys watching a dog lick his nuts and one guy says "Man, I
wish I could do that".....other guy replies "Do ya think
he'd mind???"
Shit, it was frikkin 112 today, hotter in my garage. Tore
down the front of the little Nissan truck V-6. Couldn't get
the crank pulley bolt off....tried holding the pulley with
a strap wrench (as book suggested)....actually made one trip
to Ace Hardware for a crappy strap wrench ($25), another
trip to Sears for a better one (which was $15)...boogered
both of them up, neither worked.
Finally asked my neighbor for the loan of his impact
gun.....didn't think it would work, mine hadn't (yeah but
mine's 30+ years old).....his zipped it right off.
Took my neighbor a beer, had one too........
Got it most of the way back together.....all I've got left
is the radiator and the shroud.
Lower hose I bought is the wrong one, will deal with it in
the morning. Radiator (outside of it) is completely packed
with shit......don't know if I'm gonna waste my time trying
to clean a 6 year old radiator with 92K miles on it...or
just run buy a new one.....I've got a buddy owns a radiator
shop. No wonder she was bitching about her AC not working
worth a shit.........no air flow, it's a wonder it wasn't
getting a tad warm.
Also spotted a leaking oil sending unit when I dropped the
skid plate so I could undo the trans cooler lines. Will deal
with that too......
Might as well take it Friday morning for frikkin tires
too......shit, how did her truck get to be in such bad shape??

Whew! Yeah...can't stand those. Even without the flashing, the huge assed

If "the other engine" is a TC, that is incorrect. The Evos
(and later Shovels) used the H-D 5R6 plugs, which has a 14mm thread.
The Twin Cams use the H-D 6R12 plugs, which has also been used in the
XLs for quite a long time. They have a 12mm thread.
You'll pretty much know right away that you have the wrong
ones, though (hehehe)...

Dunno about the TC, but the SE heads I ran on Stokely's Evo used the 12mm
ones. Seems to be the direction the MFMC is going.
