I don't know about anyone else, but I happen to enjoy watching a
never-ending thread meander its way back on topic. 'Tis a wonderful
world.

Since I started this thread, may I officially end it and move on to
better things?
My Pluto-nium card is on the bar. But I think I'm close to the credit
limit (and definitely will be before this story is over), so grab a
drink on me fast while I re-introduce myself and regale you with lots
of bullshit, all of it true. If you know a way for me to get my credit
limit raised, by all means, do so, we may need lots of drinks here.
Once upon a time.....(no, no, overused)
In the beginning....(stole that from a famous author)...and the same
still...in the end...
How does one start, really? My name is Shirley and I love Harley's. I
always have. I was born in Belfast, N. Ireland. I was a good baby,
unlike my red-haired sister who cried all the time. They left her out
in the rain and she rusted (at least that's the story they told her).
Wait....I'm going too far back. Too much info.?
When I was younger, I had a goofy bicycle that came from a junk yard
and I swapped out parts on it to make it look like a Harley, as much as
a bicycle can. I spent a lot of time in my Father's workshop playing
with tools when other girls were playing with Barbies. My father moved
us to Chicago to keep us from getting killed in Belfast because I come
from a mixed marriage. Orange and Green, and I was raised both. My
Father wanted us to be able to truthfully say yes whenever we were
asked Are you Catholic and/or Are you Protestant?
So, fast forward...I can hear you saying that (and hurry up). I'm
Irish, remember? No idea how to make a long story short and why should
I?
I grew up in Harley country. They were everywhere. And, I love the
sound of them, the look of them, everything about them. I used to ride
pillion but always wanted to ride my own. I worked for Harley in the
corporate office not too long ago and was able to buy one finally, they
make it really easy for you to do so when you work there. I was an
executive secretary by trade but can't do that anymore as I lost my
hearing...most of it. I'm height challenged and the height and weight
of the Harley are still issues for me, so I bought another bike. A
Honda 750 Shadow ACE. Hmmm...think I was going in the right direction
but didn't go quite far enough. I love both bikes...but still felt a
bit uncomfortable with the weight.
I never heard of newsgroups until the end of April a week after my
sister's accident. She was killed on a sportsbike 4/20/06 on Hwy. 1 in
N. California. She was riding with her b/f who is a rather famous
person in the sportsbike world. He pulled a lot of fast ones after she
was killed, including producing a cooked will, making himself the sole
beneficiary, and hiding out.
It was decided that we would try to smoke him out by posting to
motorcycle groups. We aren't brilliant...but it was one of the ways we
decided to at least try to find him. I was elected to do this by my
family. Probably because they have like *real* jobs or something. I was
supposed to come into groups and post pictures, and/or make a ruckus so
that attention could be brought to the proper person, eventually.
The picture you saw originally, for those of you who were paying
attention, are of my twin daughters. They were used with their
permission and they were in on this plan to find this man. It worked,
we smoked him out. We were only trying to get him to return my sister's
personal belongings, he was holding them and would not return them
because although she was killed, he claimed she wrecked his bike and
owed him. He was an AH and not in a good way. He did keep all her money
though but that's still being disputed. She had one son, Danny, he's a
pilot and we believe he's the rightful heir...but that's another story.
I didn't think I'd end up liking so many of you....but I did...(heh...)
I also like a lot of people in the sportsbike group now too.
So, I have 3 bikes, an '06 Harley Sporty, an 03 Honda Shadow ACE, and a
new bike that I bought yesterday. It's a goofy off brand that I bet a
lot of people haven't heard of. I never had...but I like the way it
looks, love the way it feels and feel more comfortable on it until my
riding skills improve.
I'm not good at posting pictures but will try to do so here. I have
pictures of the Honda and the new bike here, and ones of me, but the
Harley pix are on my laptop computer that's out being repaired right
now, so I'll post those later. I have a Kodak account but from what I
gathered lots of people don't like to sign in, so I have the pictures
on my eBay picture manager for right now until I can figure out a
better way to post them.
I'm gaining more confidence in my riding, it took a while to get back
on the bike after my sister's death, followed shortly by my nephew's,
but I love it too much to stay away.
Oh, and I lost my hearing, most of it anyway in two ways....a scuba
accident and from an abusive relationship. So, now I do side
contractual work for Harley, they are very good to me and I'm
part-owner of the Flag business. I also sell a ton of stuff on eBay to
supplement my income and that's how I survive and pay for my toys.
I've enjoyed the past week or so getting to know many of you a bit
better and I've learned a lot by reading everything I can here, for
that I thank you. I hope to be able to make it the EKIII run also. My
mother currently has terminal ovarian cancer and my appearance depends
on how she does. I take care of her also. Keeps me tied to the house
more than I'd like but someone's gotta do it.
(Above paragraph written at the start of this thread.... )
Pictures were included of my bikes. No comments were made about my
bikes so I didn't add them here.
Also, I have no idea who Stone is....someone swiped Becky's picture and
photoshopped it the same way this group did and I just copied the link
because I'm picture posting impaired.

Inita was a far phreaking left wing moon bat that liked to fantasize
over Clinton's wandering presidential staff and who was clearly more
interested in seeing marines killed than praising them. Obviously born
with a hate gene for Bush if not for the USA itself. My guess is today
she's a human shield for Cindy Sheehan or has found another
congressional member to suck up. Her one redeeming quality was that she
went away about the same time Kerry hauled his sorry ass back to Mass
where he flip flops to this day. I wonder if she was really Theresa
Heinze - they shared a common intellect and a way with words that made
you wonder why either didn't choke her tongue.

It doesn't work that way. You want out of a thread? Mark it read and
forget about it. Don't expect to get the last word in.
Selective ignoring and/or killfiles, showing up IRL, lurking, and
learning that there are some you can't argue with will serve you much
better than trying to respond to everyone in a defensive way.
You screwed up like so many others at first. Don't keep digging. Trust
me, I wore out a shovel or 2 myself several years ago. I also stuck
around, learned a little about the type of place RMH is, and dropped the
trolling. I still occasionally take a jab at someone, but it's almost
always when I see someone riding someone so hard for doing the same shit
they've done themselves.
I've been wrong before, but I do think you can turn this around, but it
won't be by forcing it. You want the thread to end, do your part to make
it happen. Don't reply, defensively or otherwise. You did bring it one,
although I do agree that some things were said that went too far. That's
part of RMH.
Show me you've read this closely by not replying here. Or not...

I don't agree. Not much to laugh at when everyone is pissing in the wind.

What exactly is there to figure out? I was just referring to certain

Just wondered if you'd figured out which Beckyboo is which when they're
both posting at the same time here and in alt.motorcycle.sportbike. It
makes interesting reading in a puzzling way:

Jamin told me about this before....showed me a link. But I still don't
understand the purpose in pretending to be a girl when you are a big,
fat Herman?
> OK Herman......fine! :)
You can also call me Ivan...they do that too.
But, here's the really kicker. My mother posts using this name
sometimes too and she's into the Harley more than me. You do remember
my mother, right? So....when she mentioned we were both posting, they
flipped....totally flipped. Had a meltdown. Also mentioned Uncle
Stan...the original reason I came here...etc., and now they have a
thread going on about this that's almost up to 400 messages. It's
insane.

Yes, that part was easy. Not much to "figure out" there. I know who
posted the parts that bothered me -- the fabrications and blanket
insults about RMH, that is.

Yeah, ok, shrink my head, if that's what you want. Not really the
issue, but if that's what you want to do with your spare time, go
right ahead. I assure you, you're reading more into this than there
is. And maybe so am I. Wouldn't be the first time. I, however, didn't
threaten anyone's daughter.

I haven't actually seen a lot of whining. I've seen a lot of attempted
humor and trying to fit back in. Which is what the *very*
tongue-in-cheek comment about bringing her daughters out to meet
Tinman was. The comment that prompted you to start a virtual gang-rape
scene with said daughters. And please, please don't try to tell me
that was supposed to be a joke, Because it really wasn't remotely
funny. It was just sick.

Buy me? I'm not bought. I'm sticking up for someone I think is being
unreasonably harassed. Just like I would anyone else I thought was
being unreasonable harassed. Sure, send a check to Eddie. As far as
showing up in September, we can discuss it. At length.

If you can't tell tongue-in-cheek after this long you aren't paying
attention. And don't even try to tell me that's what your "bend over
the coat rack" post was. Because I'll tell you to take your coat rack
and shove it up your ass.
>
>One of you're posts indicated that you're not going to let it go, that's

That's not exactly what I said. What I said was that I'm not likely to
forget who and how ugly this got. That's all. Emotional and verbal
abuse takes its toll on people and I have a very long memory for some
things.
> As you've said, I've got no personal investment (apparently you

to the situation, however, was totally out of proportion to what was
going on.

frankly, I just don't think the topic of gang rape and trains is
funny. But then, since many of you really are pretend bikers, you
